This page will give you an overview of what's new, where to find your old stuff, and how to get what you need. If your question or problem isn't addressed here, please don't hesitate to Contact us.

How Can I Buy Your Products?

We now provide four ways to purchase the majority of our products:

1. DVD - We send you one or more DVDs that you can play in an old-fashioned DVD player or on any computer with a DVD player.  Pretty straightforward.  Please note that you cannot transfer these files to your computer or any mobile device.  If you want to do that, you'll need to buy Option 2.

2. Subscription - This delivery method packages a course's streaming content at recurring, budget-friendly prices.  You will be able to access all the videos and any additional downloadable products in two ways using a modern Web browser:

  • Via "Subscriptions" - Login to your account.  On the main page, there is a menu on the left-hand side of the screen with Subscriptions on it (if you are viewing via mobile, scroll to the bottom of the page). If you click on this, you will see a list of all the products you have purchased via subscription. Click on the product link and it will take you to the subscription viewing page, which happens to be...
  • The Product Page of your purchase - Your streamable products are actually located on the same page that you purchased the product on. Once you buy streaming, this page changes to show you the videos, provide you with additional materials, etc. You can therefore get to your downloads by being logged in and just going to the product page (such as Visual Latin 1).

3. Streaming - You can stream our videos via this website. If you choose to purchase Streaming as a stand-alone product or as a discounted add-on of the same product (for instance, you might want Download and Streaming, or DVD and Streaming), you will be able to access all the videos and any additional downloadable products in two ways:

  • Via "Streamable Products" - Login to your account.  On the main page, there is a menu on the left-hand side of the screen with Streamable Products on it (if you are viewing via mobile, scroll to the bottom of the page). If you click on this, you will see a list of all the products you have purchased to stream. Click on the product link and it will take you to the streamable page, which happens to be...
  • The Product Page of your purchase - Your streamable products are actually located on the same page that you purchased the product on. Basically, once you buy streaming, this page changes to show you the videos, provide you with additional materials, etc.  You can therefore get to your downloads by being logged in and just going to the product page (such as Visual Latin 1).

4. Download - (High-Speed Internet Required) You can download HD video files in MP4 format onto your computer which you can then watch with any video player (iTunes, VLC, etc.). You can also take those MP4 files and transfer them to any of your mobile devices via the appropriate software for that device (iTunes for iPod/iPad, etc.).  Once purchased, these HD video files remain in your account on this site so you download them one-at-a-time as you use them, or all at once.  Please note that these are large downloads—about 2 to 3 Gigabytes each—in which we have archived multiple smaller files into one larger download.

Where are my Digital Products (Subscriptions, Streaming, Downloads)?

All of your digital products can be accessed through Your Account page.  If you are not logged in, then click on the Log In button on the top left corner of the screen and log in. You will be taken to a page with a menu on the left.  Click on Subscriptions, Streamable Products, or Downloadable Products to go to the appropriate section.

If these products are not showing up in the right place, please check the My Orders to ensure that the order went through.  If it did, and you are still not seeing it, please Contact Us.

What are the advantages to subscriptions?

Subscriptions offer access anytime and anywhere to to a course or bundle of courses at an affordable monthly rate. You can purchase the products you want within the time period you need. Since you are paying for access to the course content, and not a physical product

In addition, our subscription products can be played from both your account page and the subscription's product page once you log in to our store. There are no files to download, no cables to attach, and no DVDs to find!

How do subscriptions differ from streaming products?

Subscriptions differ from their streaming counterparts in how you pay for them. Rather than pay the entire product price on the day of purchase, you pay the recurring monthly charge as advertised. Streaming describes content, and subscription describes the payment method.

How do subscription licenses work?

Subscriptions are licensed to a single family. In other words, use your Homeschool Mega Bundle subscription for all of the children in your household! All 130+ lessons are available to your family members at a single monthly price.

If you are leading a coop or tutorial and plan to use one of our subscription courses, we ask that all participating families purchase a subscription to the course used in the tutorial. If the tutorial is using American History, then participating families may either purchase the single American History subscription or the Homeschool Mega Bundle which contains American History and 6 other courses.

Are subscriptions enabled for all of your products?

Not yet, but we plan to make regular increases in our catalog. New products will be developed with a subscription model in mind. The Homeschool Mega Bundle provides access to most of our subscription catalog in one product.

Why can't I add items to my shopping cart?

Subscription items must be purchased individually. If you have existing items in your shopping cart, adding a subscription product will yield the following error message:

To continue, place your subscription orders non-subscription orders separately.

If I have already purchased a curricular item, do I need to purchase it again as a subscription?

No. We're not providing any disruption to our valued customers. We're simply providing an affordable way to integrate some of our other products into your homeschool.

You may, however, find value in purchasing a subscription in addition to your physical or downloadable product. Subscription products are as mobile as your Internet-ready devices. Going on a trip as part of your American History study? Take your phone or tablet and leave the DVDs at home!

What are the system requirements for using a subscription?

You will need Internet access and a device with a modern Web browser. Ad blocking software can cause problems when viewing the videos. Please add http://www.compassclassroom.com/ to your whitelist to enjoy playback.

Will my subscription price change if the store's advertised price increases?

No. As long as you maintain an active subscription, you will receive the subscription product at the price posted when purchased. If you cancel your subscription and wish to access the content again, you will need to purchase a subscription at the current price.

How can I view the details of my subscription?

Once you've logged in to your account, go to "Subscriptions" on the left-hand menu. Click "Manage" on the desired subscription and you will see information about your subscription on the profile page that loads.  You can see the product, start date, billng amount, and next billing date of your subscription. Contact us if you have any questions about your subscription.

What if I don't like the product or the service?

What happens if I cancel my subscription?

You will no longer have access to the content purchased as a subscription.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Our latest update allows the customer to cancel subscriptions at any time. Once you've logged in to your account, go to "Subscriptions" on the left-hand menu. Click "Manage" on the desired subscription and "Cancel This Subscription" on the subscription profile that loads. Contact us if you have any difficulty canceling your subscription.

What is the Resources section?

Our new section for Resources provides you with additional teaching materials that you can use in conjunction with our products. Just go to that part of the website and click on the subject that interests you. For instance, if you choose Latin, you can find online Latin dictionaries, links to online Latin videos, and much more.
